Week of May 15th
Zoo Field Trip 6/9
- I sent home the permission slip with students today.
- Please return this to me ASAP.
- There is a requested $7.00 donation for the field trip.
- If you would like to chaperone, please email me directly. Parents who did not volunteer on the last field trip will get first priority. We will be able to have 5 chaperones for our class. I will pull names from a hat as I did before if we have over 5 parents who would like to come.
- If you have your own zoo pass then you can go with our group, but you will not be included in the 5 chaperones. Please email me if you want to go and have your own zoo pass.
- Let me know if you have any questions about this.

3rd Grade State Testing (TESTING WEEK PUSHED BACK)
- Students will be testing the week of May 22. There are practice tests online that students can do at home for extra practice. We will also be spending some time in class practicing as well. Please click here for the directions of how to access these practice tests at home and other important information regarding testing week.
- Test taking strategies: relax, be confident, read the questions first, read the passage, eliminate what is wrong, and double check your work. Students are applying these testing strategies as they read fiction and nonfiction passages. Then, they answer questions related to what they've read.
- Here is the link to the sign up genius for snacks for the class for testing week. Please bring in snacks week of May 22nd.
