It's All About the Community
To this end, we would also like to work more with families this year to create a bridge between home and school. This year we have planned three parent evenings during which we will provide caregivers of FES students information and tools on how to support their social, emotional, and academic needs at home. The first of these events will focus on our Social Emotional Curriculum and will be held on October 18th at 6pm. Childcare will be available. More information will be coming home about this soon, but I just wanted you to have the date so you could put it in your calendar.

District News
From the Superintendent
You may or may not have been keeping up with the news about the proposed consolidation plan that the School Board is developing. The School District needs your assistance and input. The District is looking for parents who can dedicate up to 8 hours weekly, for the next couple of months, to examine how we might operationalize a proposed consolidation that will appear as a warrant article for the community to consider on the 2019 warrant in March. If you are interested please email or call Kat.
