A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Sailor Families,
We are cruising and enjoying the calm waters in front of us. It has been a fantastic start to our year. Thank you for all you have done to help prepare your child for this transition. The beginning of the year is such an important time. Building relationships and becoming a classroom / school family is of utmost importance. Yesterday we had a whole school assembly that was meant to both welcome everyone to a new school year as well as to do a brief overview of what it means to be a Bay Harbor Sailor. It was a great way to wrap-up the first day with “all” of our students together.
Staying Connected
In addition to the communication you get from the classroom teacher, this newsletter is meant to share important happenings from the school perspective. I try to add “just enough” to the beginning of each newsletter so that we can stay connected. Please know you can always reach out to me via phone or email if I can ever be of assistance. At times, I will send out an all school email or text via School Messenger. Our goal is not to flood you with communication, but to strike the right balance where you feel knowledgeable and connected. Our Bay Harbor PTO is also a great way to be a part of our school community. The first meeting is Tuesday, September 13th at 6:30pm in our library area. Please join us and watch for other ways to further partner.
Lunch at Bay Harbor
As we transition back to normal, remember to fund your student’s account if they are having hot breakfast or lunch at BH. Remember that you are welcome to join your student(s) during lunch time. CLICK HERE to view those times. When you arrive at BH, please be sure to have a valid driver's license as that is how you will sign in. To continue or quest to keep our school the safest and most efficient learning environment, visitors must sign out in the office after lunch. This means that we can’t have visitors out at recess or in the hallways during the school day unless there is a specific pre-arranged designation. Again, we are happy our school is open to the public, but safety is a top priority. Thank you for your understanding.
Have a wonderful rest of the week and I hope you enjoy our warm Wisconsin weather. Our teachers and students are happy we have air conditioning:)
Tony Ebeling, Principal
