- Important information regarding FY19 funding and LEA plan will come soon.
Special Services Department
- Principals, please note that Child Find is 365 days per year. The district has a responsibility to identify, locate, and evaluate all children who may have a disability. Parents may call you or see you during the summer sessions and ask about their child being evaluated. Day 1 of a 14 day timeline starts on that day. Please complete the required referral form and send to the Special Services Department that day. Email sladner@pc.k12.ms.us and cc dflettrich@pc.k12.ms.us or fax 255-9436.
- Extended School Year will begin with students entering the buildings for preschool services starting June 4. Schedules will be sent to each principal. We will be serving students in every building based on their IEP.
- Assistive Technology Evaluations are Wednesday, June 27th at Central Services. Principals at DES, PCHS, and PCMS, parents, and teachers will be sent letters next week.
- On July 20, 2018, the SCD teachers would like to have a professional development day led by Ms. Dayna Clark.
Operations_Meridith Bang, COO
- No major updates for this month.
- The COO is working on securing a cleaning schedule for each of your buildings with a list of major projects such as painting that will occur.
- Please provide information regarding current openings that have yet to be filled.
Business Finance_Paige Bromen, CFO
- Please send me a list of any teachers you are anticipating a license upgrade for next year.
- ALL purchase orders must be closed out! I requested each secretary to begin requesting invoices from vendors in May. If you need a list of what is still open, please let me know. I will be happy to share.
- End of the year inventory should already be completed. Please ensure anything missing or moved is submitted to Denise Frederick no later than June 15, 2018.
- I am trying to limit the shutdown time for purchasing this year. I will communicate the exact dates once we get more information from central access.
General Reminders
- EL test results will be back Friday, June 15. Mr. French is working on a document that will calculate the student's growth goals.
- MAAP results are due back June 29, 2018. As soon as possible, results will be forwarded to principals to help you begin the analysis piece. Mr. French is also setting up your prediction document in anticipation of receiving the data while Mrs. Walters is working on the FAY list for the year.
