Message to ECE (early childhood education) and Kindergarten Families
Dear Burrville Families,
In support of the mayor’s initiative for safe return to school, all ECE and K students are required to submit weekly COVID-19 test results. Each Friday, your child will be sent home with a testing kit. Students must take the test the day before returning to school. For this week, students must take the test on Monday, January 17, 2022. Results must be uploaded to dcps.dc.gov/safereturn. Students will be checked in starting at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. If your child tests positive, still upload the results and follow procedures for 10-day quarantine. Positive results that are uploaded will also ensure that absences will be excused. The system will not receive test results taken before Monday, January 17, 2022. If you submit test results prior to that date, they are considered invalid, and students will need to retest. Only students with negative test results will be permitted in the building. Thank you for doing your part to ensure Burrville remains a safe learning environment for all students and staff.
