Message from Mrs. Cain
You guys are doing great! I continue to be impressed with the way students and staff are handling the changes associated with virtual learning. Thank you for your patience and persistence as we work through technology issues together. You have all handled the situation extremely well.
Beginning Thursday, August 20th, Tegeler will begin following our Regular Bell Schedule for Virtual Instruction. The bell schedule is posted below. Students will need to log on each day to connect with each of their classes. Students should start each period by following the directions provided by their teachers for each class period. This information is located in either Google Classroom or Schoology. If you need to double-check which Learning Management System (LMS) a course is in refer to the link below the bell schedule. The LMS is listed beside each teacher's name.
Remember, beginning tomorrow (August 20th), all students should log in to their 1st period classes at 7:15 AM. Should you have any technical difficulties, click on the Tech Assistance link a little further down in the SMORE. Tech help links, bell schedules, teacher contacts, and campus information can all be found on the site blazertime.org
Stay safe and stay well,
Mrs. Cain

Curbside Lunch Information
During Virtual Instruction, Tegeler students should pick up Curbside Meals at a campus near their home. Tegeler will not serve curbside meals at our location. You will need to show a Tegeler ID or past report card for identification purposes. Call Tegeler if you are unable to locate either of these items and we will provide you with documentation. Tegeler’s phone number is (713)740-0410.
For lunch service times contact the school nearest you. Note that procedures are different from previous food distributions. Meals are no longer free for everyone. Free, reduced and paid eligibility categories will be followed. Last year's statuses will be honored through September 29th. All students must reapply for the Federal Lunch Program for the 2020 - 2021 school year in order to continue services after the deadline. One more change, walk-up options are available at each site.
See attachments below for menu items and additional information. Check out the PISD Child Nutrition page on Facebook for regular posts by the department.
School Dress Code and School Supplies Information
No major changes to student dress code for the 2020—2021 school year for those opting for Face-to-Face learning.
When at school, students must provide their own masks/facial shields to be worn at all times on school buses and while on campus (except when eating).
* Masks/shields must not have writing on them (words or letters)
or anything viewed as lewd, offensive, vulgar or representing
tobacco/alcohol/drugs. School/district logos are okay.
All students participating in online video conferencing should be dressed appropriately at all times.
All Tegeler students, whether opting for Face-to-Face (F2F) or Virtual Instruction (VI), will need pens, pencils, notebook paper and spirals to take and keep notes in. Teachers will share any additional supply needs as part of their course outlines and expectations.
