Winter Break
We hope your family had a restful and healthy break. We look forward to seeing our Marshals tomorrow morning.
Just a reminder that there will be no visitors on any MISD campus from January 5th- January 15th. We will continue to observe all COVID safety procedures in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy.

McClure Parents and Guardians,
In order to minimize the potential spread of possible COVID cases as students and staff return from Winter Break, McKinney ISD will delay the start of several activities for two weeks. Evaluations and special education services will continue. However, the following programs and activities will be delayed until Tuesday, January 19.
- No Elementary Gifted and Talented Services. Services resume on Jan. 19.
- PALS Program
- Reach Mentor Program
- All lunch visitors
- All in-person meetings should be rescheduled or held virtually
- Ready, Set, Teach Students on Campus
- On campus visitors for academic award ceremonies
- Private lesson teachers
- Tutors
- Other visitors and meetings as determined by campus

January - School Board Appreciation Month
Amy Dankel (PRESIDENT) was elected to Place 4 on the MISD Board in 2011.
Mrs. Dankel moved to McKinney in 1997 and has served as a public school educator for 22 years, the last 10 of which were in McKinney Independent School District serving at Finch Elementary School and Eddins Elementary School.
She and her husband Roger have been married for 29 years and are active members of Stonebridge United Methodist Church. Roger works for Simpson Strong-Tie. Their two children were educated in McKinney Independent School District. Nick graduated from McKinney North High School in 2008 and graduated from the University of Colorado, majoring in Astrophysics. Stephanie graduated from McKinney Boyd in 2010 and graduated from Clemson University, majoring in International Health and Spanish.
Mrs. Dankel earned a Master of Education majoring in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Millsaps College.
She cites a deep feeling of responsibility to give back to a school system and community that has given so much to her and to her family as her major motivation for serving on the McKinney ISD Board of Trustees.
Quarter 2 Report Cards Available in Home Access Center - Wednesday, January 6th
On Wednesday, January 6, 2021, all McKinney ISD parents will have access to your child's Quarter 2 report card in the Home Access Center (HAC) online located on the McKinney ISD webpage. Click the link below to access HAC.
If you are the parent of a virtual learner and would like a hardcopy, please reach out to your child's teacher.
We are so proud of all of our students and their accomplishments during Quarter 2.
Friendly Attendance Reminders
Attendance is taken daily at 8:15am. Students can be counted tardy up until 9:15am.
MISD Laptop Fees for 4th & 5th Graders- Extended
**Fee Extended through January 21, 2021
McKinney ISD requires an Annual Usage Fee of $30 ($15 for free and reduced lunch) for the use of laptops in the 1:The World program for students in grades 4-12.
This annual fee will cover the first incident of accidental damage, theft, fire, water damage or vandalism with no deductible. Subsequent incidents over the life of the computer will incur a $125.00 deductible per incident.
This is just a reminder that if you haven’t done so already, this fee can be paid through the Home Access Center using a credit or debit card or cash or check payments can be made in person on campus.
Please note that if you pay through the Home Access Center (HAC), you will need to disable pop-up blockers on your browser, and you may not be able to pay from a mobile device.
