January - School Board Appreciation Month

Amy Dankel (PRESIDENT) was elected to Place 4 on the MISD Board in 2011.

Mrs. Dankel moved to McKinney in 1997 and has served as a public school educator for 22 years, the last 10 of which were in McKinney Independent School District serving at Finch Elementary School and Eddins Elementary School.

She and her husband Roger have been married for 29 years and are active members of Stonebridge United Methodist Church. Roger works for Simpson Strong-Tie. Their two children were educated in McKinney Independent School District. Nick graduated from McKinney North High School in 2008 and graduated from the University of Colorado, majoring in Astrophysics. Stephanie graduated from McKinney Boyd in 2010 and graduated from Clemson University, majoring in International Health and Spanish.

Mrs. Dankel earned a Master of Education majoring in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Millsaps College.

She cites a deep feeling of responsibility to give back to a school system and community that has given so much to her and to her family as her major motivation for serving on the McKinney ISD Board of Trustees.

Quarter 2 Report Cards Available in Home Access Center - Wednesday, January 6th

On Wednesday, January 6, 2021, all McKinney ISD parents will have access to your child's Quarter 2 report card in the Home Access Center (HAC) online located on the McKinney ISD webpage. Click the link below to access HAC.

On Wednesday, January 6, in-person learners will bring home their Quarter 2 report card in their report card envelope. Please review your child's report card with your child to discuss all the great things they are learning at school, as well as things we may need to continue to work on in Quarter 3. Keep their Quarter 2 report card at home, sign the back of their report card envelope for Quarter 2, and return the report card envelope to school with your child.

If you are the parent of a virtual learner and would like a hardcopy, please reach out to your child's teacher.

We are so proud of all of our students and their accomplishments during Quarter 2.
