Hamlet Podcasts
With this in mind, students are doing an in-depth analysis of one character and then working with a partner to write a script for and produce a recorded interview between their character and their partner's character. Students will study their characters, examine what makes a great interview, and finally they will write and record their interviews using the app TwistedWave and their chromebooks. We are really excited to see the creativity and learning that will happen through this project!
For this project we've created a google classroom and project calendar to help keep the students on track. These projects are not just an academic extension, but they are also a way to teach students about self-advocacy (asking for help or asking for change) and independence (taking ownership of your work and taking the necessary steps to complete it).
If you would like a copy of the project calendar, email Mary Nichols at mary.nichols@ashevillecityschools.net.

Our next unit of study in ESG will be an introduction to psychology with a focus on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development, and Dabrowski's Theories of Overexcitabilities. Students will be learning about psychological research and how biology affects psychology.
