Language Arts
We have completed our Personal Narrative writing unit and are beginning our "All About" unit, in which students write to teach about something that they know all about.
We will continue to stress good writing conventions such as:
- spacing
- using lower case letters unless it is the beginning of a sentence or a name
- spelling purple sight words correctly (students may use the word wall as a reference)
- ending punctuation
Math
We continue our work on creating sets of numbers and then using comparative language to describe our sets. Students should be using the vocabulary greater, more, less, and fewer.
Science and Social Studies
In Science, we will observe and describe the forms of energy, focusing this week on sound energy.
In Social Studies, we will discuss and observe Thanksgiving.
