Woods Lake Elementary

Weekly Update March 22-26, 2021

Hello Woods Lake Family,

This week we invite you to participate in our virtual Parent/Teacher Spring Conferences. We are delighted to share the growth and progress that your child has shown throughout the second trimester. We also want to appreciate you for your role in helping your child to create an environment that supports their daily learning!

Last call for pictures for our 2020-2021 Yearbook entitled, Virtually Together! If you have not already taken a picture of your child, (shoulders up) for the yearbook, we ask that you kindly do so and email the photo to woodslakepto@gmail.com in order to be included in our yearbook. We do not want to leave anyone out!

We encourage you to turn in your child's letter of intent. This will save your seat! You may mail, fax, take a picture & email it (knightcm@kalamazoopublicschools.net or student_services@kalamazoopublicschools.net) or drop it off to the main office. Should you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to call the office at (269) 337-0790.

Finally, there will be a half day on Thursday, March 25, 2021 and no school for students on Friday, March 26, 2021, as we will begin our spring break. Enjoy some of the sunlight and warmer weather during this break. Our return date is Monday, April 5, 2021.

As always, Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!

There will be no KKIT.

  • Thursday, March 18

  • March 25 - April 2 (KPS Spring Break)

Here is the latest episode of Some Good News: KKIT Edition. A monthly YouTube News Report where we share all of the amazing things going on at KKIT. This month we reported on Family February and interviewed a mom and son about their experience. We had 25 families participate (the highest yet!) and 30 families join us for our Virtual Game Night. It was such a hit - we're going to plan another one in the Spring.

Kalamazoo Communities in Schools (KCIS)

We have made the tough decision to not hold a Girls on the Run team at Woods Lake this year. However, 3rd-5th grade girls will still have the opportunity to participate in GOTR. Please see this flyer for more information. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out!
