Leadership Presentation- Game Warden
What career interests me the most?
I would like to be a Texas Game Warden because I would like to help do what's right and work outdoors with animals and nature.
Right Now- I can start by making sure I always do what's right and make good decisions so I don't get in trouble before my career would start.
During High School- I should learn Spanish and make sure I pass every class so that I meet the requirements of a Game Warden.
Approximately 5,820 Game Wardens are hired each year in the United States. 410 of which are employed in the state of Texas.
All Game Wardens must have a Bachelors level degree in college, be at least 21 years of age, be a legalized U.S. citizen, have a valid U.S. drivers license, have a clean criminal record (having no crimes committed), and be able to pass a fitness test. It is also suggested that all Texas Game Wardens learn the Spanish language and be able to speak it fluently.
All potential Game Wardens must attend a training camp for 30 weeks in Hamilton Texas.
From there, Wardens who meet the requirements will be sent to different posts around the state that they are employed in.
The average starting yearly salary of a Texas Game Warden is $53,000
The values such as avoidance of cheating or plagiarism; Maintenance of academic standards; Honesty in research and academic publishing.
The Importance of Academic Integrity
Academic Integrity is crucial to my career because if I make poor decisions (such as going to jail or committing a crime) I won't meet the requirements of a Game Warden.
How Will I Seperate Myself From The Rest?
I will seperate myself from other candidates running for the same career by making sure I meet every requirement and by training myself both mentally and physically to the best of my ability.
