Free Rides to the Iowa City Public Library!
Weekdays from 9am-3pm the Iowa city buses will give children and teens through 12th grade and adults that are with them a free bus ride if they show their library cards.
Then at the Iowa City Public Library they can get return bus passes.
Cedar Rapids Kernels Summer Reading Program!

Then you'll love the CR Kernels Summer Reading Program!
Join over 3,500 kids in the corridor area in reading to win great prizes. You can download the reading scorecard here! Bring your completed card to the Kernels stadium to receive your prizes!
Junior High and High School Summer Reading Program
At the end of the year, students will be invited to checkout an entire bag of books for reading over the summer months. The libraries at North Central, South East, Tate, City, and West will all be open two dates over the summer to allow students to return and check out more books!
Students can visit any of the open libraries on Thursday, June 26th and Thursday July 24th from 2pm-5pm! Current 6th graders encouraged to attend!
