All Things SLI
Silver Lake Intermediate Jan. 8, 2021
SLI Families:
Welcome to 2021! We are off to a good start. The weather has been nice so far (compared to other Januarys) so our students can enjoy recess and the fresh air. It is a winter wonderland out there.
As you know we remain in the hybrid learning model through Jan. 15. A decision will be made and communicated next week regarding how we begin the second semester on Jan. 20. There is no school on Jan. 18 & 19.
Reminders:
- If your child is too ill to be participating virtually or completing assignments, please reach out to your child's teachers. Often especially with quarantines related to COVID, we are unsure if your child feels well enough to participate.
- When planning a trip, please complete a contemplated absence form (It is always linked in the Smore near the end.) and make sure the office/attendance knows your child is absent. Sometimes things like a short trip are communicated with a teacher, but not with the office. We are striving to do our best this year with all of the unprecedented attendance circumstances so please let the office know.
Our next scheduled date for parent teacher conferences is Feb. 11, but you can always reach out to your child's teacher(s) with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued support.

What does my child do if they are in quarantine or isolation?
If your child is ill and is unable to participate in the virtual schedule (i.e. attend Zoom meeting with the in person class), please email your child's teachers so they are aware and can work with individual families/students.
What if my child has technical issues at home?
Students and families who need technical support can submit a ticket using the form on their student bookmarks, or available here. In addition, support from our Technology Help Desk is available during the school day by calling 262-560-2126 or emailing helpdesk@oasd.org. For those who do not have reliable internet access at home, please contact our help desk to request a hotspot.
