MCCHS FRIDAY FOCUS
Pilgrims on the Way of Truth
7th Edition October 28, 2016
A Note from our Superintendent...
We made it through the first quarter! Congratulations to all of our students, staff, and families.
The fall sports season is heating up on the state level - we wish the best to all of our student-athletes who have earned the opportunity to showcase their skills. May they not only be great examples of athleticism, but also strong witnesses to the power of Christ in their lives. It is the part of our mission at Marian Central to "send out servants...equipped with their God-given talents" to spread God's kingdom; may these athletic contests be a chance to do just that.
From the Spiritual Director...
Many thanks to all of our grandparents who came and celebrated Mass with us on October 21st. We had a wonderful time seeing them, and truly appreciate everything that our grandparents do for our students. Our next All School Mass is November 1st at 8:55 am in the Main Gymnasium. We are celebrating All Saints Day, a holy day of obligation.
The retreat season is fast approaching! The retreat lists for this year were posted on Monday here at school. It has been fun to see students checking the lists, seeing what retreat they are assigned to, and getting excited over who is joining them on retreat. If there is a need for a student to change a retreat, he or she should pick up a retreat change form from Fr. Doyle. It requires a parent's signature and an explanation for the change. Changes to any overnight retreat will also require a small fee. Any questions should be directed to Fr. Doyle.
Did you know that our sports teams attend after-school Masses? In fact, all of our fall sports teams, at every level, attended at least one after-school Mass to pray with and for each other as a team, with several coming multiple times. Thanks to all of our coaches for making these Masses a priority.

Need More Theatre? Prepare for Musical Auditions!
This year's musical, The Pajama Game, already has audition script cuts available for any student interested in auditioning! Pick up a script cut and sign up for an audition slot in the music room. Also, check out the acting workshop being hosted in the Auditorium on Friday, Nov. 4th after school - this is a great opportunity to learn how the audition process works, practice audition scenes, and make great friends.
Auditions don't begin until November 29th - but it's never too early to get involved or try something new!
