Highcroft's Rosie Reader

Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year

Dear Families,

We are getting closer and closer. If your kids are like my daughter who is starting kindergarten this year, she has a count down of days until she gets to start school. She wants to count the hours but mama isn't ready for that.

We are eager we get to know you and partner with you to support your child's learning and development this year. We also know it's important that you know us. While the building is currently closed to parents, please know we are committed to partnering with you. Please take time to get to know the adults who teach your children. You will read about our administrators, counselor, kindergarten teachers, and specialists. Our teachers and staff work closely together to best support each student.

We are introducing the teams now, and on August 18th, you can check your child's Infinite Campus account to see the teacher placement. Follow the link to set up your account.

We look forward to more opportunities this year to engage and build relationships with families and the community. We are thrilled to start this exciting adventure with you!

Nurse's Beginning of the Year Reminders

Dear Highcroft Parents,

As the school year is rapidly approaching I want to remind you of some important medical information in regards to your child’s health care needs for school.

If you have a child that has Asthma, Allergies, Seizures or any other chronic health conditions that will require emergency medication or daily medication at school you will need to have them evaluated and have new medication orders and emergency action plans in place for the new school year.

The following link is where you can find the forms you will need to take to the doctor’s appointment to have completed and signed by your child’s doctor. Health Forms

On the link, you will find the Medication Authorization form, Action Plans, and Physical Exam Reports.

Parkway advised that children entering Kindergarten, 3rd, and 6th grade have new physicals completed. Please also remember that elementary school students are not allowed to self carry any medications, which includes cough drops or any other over-the-counter or prescription medication. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I will be available the week before school starts from August 16-August 20th to accept daily and emergency medications that need to be administered to your child. Any medications that need to be given at school will require to appropriate forms and prescriptions from your child’s doctor at this time.

Please feel free to let me know what times works best for you to drop these medications off. I will be in and out of meetings on some days so if I know ahead of time when you can come by that will be greatly appreciated.

Please have a fabulous and safe rest of your summer! Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or concerns. I will be checking my email and voice mail daily.

I am looking forward to taking care of your child this year.

Enjoy these last few weeks!
