Message from the Superintendent
Hello Emery Unified School District community,
Welcome to the new school year! I am so excited to have our teachers, staff and families together again as we start another year of learning, discovery and growth.
Every year, there are new opportunities for students to advance in their education and grow in their social-emotional skills. I encourage parents and guardians to stay involved in your child's education. You will surely see them shine and expand their horizons.
It is important to stay connected with our school district to receive the latest updates and information. I look forward to connecting with parents and staff this school year as we work to provide a well-rounded education to our students. Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!
Sincerely,
Dr. Quiauna Scott
Superintendent

Back to School Nights
Back to School Tips
- Ensure your contact information is updated with your child’s school.
- Attend Back to School Night and communicate with your child’s teacher to understand your student’s academic progress.
- Sign and return all forms sent home at the start of school, including the consent form for your student to receive services from Emery Health Center.
- Even as children grow older and more independent, families play a key role in making sure students access learning opportunities and understand why attendance is so important for success in school and on the job. Help your children stay engaged and in school by encouraging them to talk about their school experience.
EUSD Health Services for Students
At the start of school, it is very important for all students to submit their completed consent form to receive dentistry, eye exams, vaccinations, and medical services at Emery Health Center. Parents and guardians, please fill out the form and ensure your child returns it to their teacher.
The form is available digitally here.
If you need assistance or a replacement form, please contact your school’s office.
Health and Wellness services are available on campus for all students in partnership with Alameda County Behavioral Health Services. Students have the opportunity to receive referral services and comprehensive care provided by a nurse practitioner, social worker, and dentist. Services include:

- New Bridge Foundation’s ASPIRE School Program (Adolescent Services Providing Inspiration, Recovery and Education)
