Spring Internship with Model UN
Email: wsu_biniendacenter@worcester.edu
We have established a Spring Model UN internship. This one credit internship will revolve around the Model UN program we will host with 6 - 9th graders here at WSU on March 30th. This internship is eligible for state funds and so, for some students, will be paid approximately $700. We will have two trainings in the run up, conducted by the Model UN Directors, and we are planning a trip to the UN in NYC as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Women's Studies: Pop Up Space & Feminist Book Club
Email: challer1@worcester.edu
Faculty, staff, and students are all invited and welcome to participate in both events:
Feminist Book Club: Get your copy of Rebecca Solnit's Men Explain Things to Me and come to a discussion on 2/14/19, 4-6, Fallon Room. For a free copy of the book (while supplies last) email: challer1@worcester.edu
Women's Studies Pop-Up Space: Tuesday, December 11th (Reading Day), 1-3, FOSTER Room (3rd floor Student Center). Stop by for as little or as long as you'd like and enjoy some "Smash the Patriarchy" cake; have some coffee, tea, or hot chocolate; bring a craft project and relax for a bit; bring an old t-shirt and create a bag; come for some conversation in a safer space; and get your copy of Men Explain Things to Me. All are welcome who welcome all. This is intended to be a safer space for community, sustenance, craftiness and conversation.
