Celebrate Your Contributions
- Outdoor Club headed up the hill to Sweetwater Trail for some nature love
- The Event Planner Action Team is hosting an ice skating adventure
- 6th graders celebrated student of the month
- All the fancy feet enjoyed the Student Government hosted Carnival Dance
- 16 tutees met with their tutors for their weekly Wednesday tutoring
- Over a dozen action teams and clubs met up for team time and fun

STAFF ONLY:
- Student Intent To Return Form Process: Forms need to be turned in to the front office before you leave on break. Turn them in as you get them and use the roster to keep track of who you are missing one from. Anyone who does not turn in a form by the due date should be asked to fill one out at conferences. If you need additional forms, the link is below to the forms on our website.
- Furniture Feedback: Send updates, questions, reporting of furniture feedback and/or issues to Anzelc ASAP for our annual furniture review this week.
- Q3 Conferences: Invites are out and should be scheduled outside of your prep time due to students not being pulled during class time. Please plan to call parents who don't respond to initial electronic invite. WHO'S EXCITED? This is our last conference week of the year - let's make it count and ensure our kiddos are set up for success in their SLC! Yasss! Conference schedules as due to Anzelc, Edwards, Brinkmann and Walker this week. Please let us know if you'd like our attendance ASAP.
- 8th Vision Screening: All 8th grade students will participate in vision screening 1st period March 11. Please see your google calendar item for info on where and when to take your 1st period class. Prepare accordingly and see Edwards for questions.
- SBAC Testing: Get ready - it's coming in April/May! See below section for more details. Carts were re-arranged to accommodate testing. Please check out the schedule so you are aware of any changes we may have made to what you signed up for. Do not make a change to the schedule/carts without checking with Edwards during the testing window. Thank you in advance!
- All Advisory Afternoon: Fri Mar 8 for SLC prep. Please plan accordingly.

Report Card Week: Grades should be inputted into IC already. Please plan to spend time with Dept this week for RC entry. Yes comments on Advisory and all things. Please also spot check a few kiddos per period to ensure accuracy prior to submitting and printing. RCs are due Thur 4pm.
Tech March Break: Please lock up tech accordingly or take it home over break.

- Student Led Conferences: Student-led conference week is coming soon! It's scheduled week of March 11 and we are excited to visit with each of you! A couple of reminders for conference week: (1) Advisors will be sending out a conference schedule request this week, (2) there are minimum days during conference week to accommodate for time, and (3) please make accommodations for parking depending on your conference time - there is no 3rd row parking in the parking lot - this is a safety issue for school access.
- Student Intent To Return Forms: Intent to return forms will be passed out in Advisory this week. They are due back Fri Mar 8. Please make sure you get your form in to secure your student's spot for the 19-20 school year! - 8th Grade Parent Info for NP3 HS Incoming 9th: NP3 HS counselors will be visiting 8th grade Advisories the week of April 8. Students will learn about courses they will be taking in 9th grade and participate in the course selection process. - Q3 Spirit Week: We have a spirit week the week of March 11! Show your spirit by dressing up on the following days: Mon: Teacher Look Alike Day; Tues: Twin/Squad Day; Wed: PJ Day; Thu: Sports Day; Fri: Disney Day. If you're not in spirit wear, you are expected to be in dress code.
- DC/NYC Trip: 8th graders who are signed up for the 2019 DC/NYC trip will be leaving on March 14! Additionally, Ms. Clark will be visiting 7th grade classes before break to share info with students about the Spring 2020 trip. Please let us know if you have any questions.
- Overbooked Book Drive: Our Campus Book Club is running a book drive from April 1-30. Our goal is to have 50 Young Adult and/or Children's books (lightly used or new) donated in 30 days! To donate a book, find the Overbooked Book Drive box in any middle school teachers classrooms. See Ms. Snelling for further questions.
- Yearbooks for Sale: Copies of the 2018-2019 yearbook are going fast so be sure to get yours today. Order online at Balfour.com (search "NP3 Middle School" at Balfour.com), or get an order form from Mr. Kons in room 210.
- Flag Football: We have a Flag-Football Tournament coming your way! Sign-ups will be at lunch March 4-8. Qualifying rounds will be Apr 2-5. Placement will be Apr 8-12. Semi-finals will be Apr15-16 and the finals will be on Apr 19. - NP3 Skate Night: Join us Mar 8 from 4:00-6:00pm at Foothill Farms Skate for NP3 Skate Night. The Event Planning Action Team will be selling tickets for $8 during lunch in the quad Feb 25-Mar 8. Calling All Artists: The City of Sacramento is organizing / inviting children ages 5+ to submit their artistic ideas for the "Waterfront Idea Makers" Kids Competition!

Spring Break: Spring Break is headed our way! There will be no school March 18-March 29th. We will see you back on Monday April 1st!
SBAC testing: SBAC is administered in April/May. Please make sure your student is well rested and on time for school.
