Summer 2015
Join Us This Summer!
What?
The Waverly Youth Symphony is a two-week function in which high school students intensively prepare a full orchestral concert for the community. Students will be able to grow as musicians and have an experience like none before.
Who?Current and incoming high school students who play a musical instrument (strings, winds, and brass). The ensemble will be directed by HS student Cade Olmstead. This organization is completely youth led.
When?
June 1st - June 12th
Rehearsals will take place on weekdays from 1:00pm-3:30pm at the HS.
A concert will be held on Friday June 12th at 7:00pm in the HS Auditorium.
All current and incoming high school string players will be admitted. Due to the instrumentation of a symphony, auditions will be held for winds/brass only if there is more interested than what is needed. Auditions will take place the week of May 25th. The purpose is not to exclude students but have a balanced and successful ensemble.
