Please sign up "VOLY" to volunteer at the SST Spring
Dear Parents,
Without the involvement of our parents and volunteers, our students would not have the same enriching experience we strive to provide each and every day at SST. You are an invaluable addition to our team. In order to make it easier to find volunteer opportunities at your campus, as well as completing the required background check, we are using a new program called VOLY. We encourage you to follow the link below and register with your campus to get involved in the many opportunities we find to provide our students with the highest quality learning environment possible.

Quick Start Guide: http://www.volnow.org/media/Voly/VOLY-Volunteer-Quick-Start-Guide.pdf
Dear Parents,
The success of SST's volunteer program depends upon the quality of the relationship between the volunteers, teachers, students and parents, and the general public.
School of Science and Technology provides equal volunteering opportunities for everyone regardless of age, sex, color, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, marital status, political belief, or disability that does not prohibit performance of essential job functions. All matters relating to volunteering are based upon ability to perform the job, as well as dependability and reliability.
More than ever, parental involvement is vital for schools to increase the student’s success. We believe with your help we can achieve our goals. Based on this fact and our school needs, we want to increase our volunteers. We need volunteers in the following areas at our campus; Cafeteria, Library and Classrooms. We encourage you to follow this link https://sstschools.voly.org/opportunity/index.html to select the opportunities that we created for you. Your supports are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance for all your supports.DNA/DIP Meeting Invitations

Uniform update on outerwear
Dear parents,
I know the weather is getting colder and students will start wearing their jackets to school. Quick reminder of the school uniform policy regarding outwear and shoes: Outwear, such as, “hoodies” any clothing item with a hood, pullovers, or sweatshirts are not permitted to be worn inside the building. These items must be taken off once the student comes inside of the building. Also, students may not wear Sandals, mules, “Ugs”, high heels, boots or Crocs. If any students come to school out of uniform, the following consequence will be given: If a student arrives at school out of uniform or is groomed inappropriately, the student’s parent will be called to bring a change of clothes. The student will not be allowed to attend class until he or she is appropriately dressed. Any class time missed will be counted as an unexcused absence. The school reserves the right to determine and
restrict unbecoming styles. Violations of the school’s uniform policy and grooming standards will result in incremental disciplinary action.
