2D Weekly News
Week ending December 10th.
International Week
What a wonderful week last week was. International week is such a special week at ASD where we celebrate and learn more about all the 75 cultures that make up our school.
The students were all so involved and excited about the week. We danced, sang, laughed, learned and loved. 2D is such a truly special class and their enthusiasm, compassion and love of learning, makes my days with them such a pleasure. Thank you for your support for the children's Humans of Grade 2 homework last week. They look amazing and the sharing of these in class was wonderful. These will be making these into a book which will be a special book, and possibly the beginning of more of these books at ASD.
I hope you enjoy the many pictures below. Have a lovely week ahead. We will be having a few celebrations this week and a farewell on Monday for Emilio who is moving and will be very missed.
Warm regards,
Penny

Reading & Writing
Writing: This was a week spent fancying-up our informational books. Students were using check-lists to reflect on their own writing and helping their partners make sure that if revisions were necessary, the revisions were made. Once editing was finished, students worked to add color to their illustrations and made covers.
