What Is It
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that appears at the same time each year. As winter approaches and days begin to grow shorter, the person with the disorder begins to have symptoms of depressions and unexplained fatigue. However once Spring comes, the days get longer and the persons energy returns.

The Causes
Though no one has yet found out why this happens, experts believe that they know how it happens. They have found that the depression is triggered by the brain's response to a lack of or decreased daylight exposure. Experts also think that two chemicals, melatonin and serotonin may play a part in SAD
