From the Desk of Ms. Clark
April 11, 2019
“Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest!” As our church celebrates Palm Sunday this Sunday, and Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, we begin the most holy of weeks.
As we enter this solemn week and journey with Jesus through his Last Supper and Agony and Death on the Cross, I invite you to our 7th and 8th grade production of “The Passion Play.” Our students have worked hard during their many practices under the careful direction of Monsignor Marine and Mrs. Garner, and the many assistants that assist with the show. This performance will certainly set the tone for Holy Week as you journey with our students who will perform the Passion of our Lord.
There are two evening performances due to the usual large turnout. You can attend Sunday night or Monday night. Both shows begin at 7:30pm in the school gym. There is an admission fee of $5 for adults and $4 for children over the age of 12. I hope you and your family will join us.
As our Lenten journey comes to an end, let us be transformed knowing that what appeared to be death has become, instead, a source of life. On behalf of Monsignor Marine, Father Mike, and our faculty and staff, I wish you a blessed Easter as we rejoice in our Savior’ s love and accept his gift of abiding hope!
Fine Arts Week
We will kick-off our celebration at the Neshaminy Mall on Monday, 5/6 for the Barnes and Noble Book Fair where we will have fun activities planned, guest readers, and special treats.
On Wednesday 5/8, we will host our Spring Expo which will feature our choir and band performance, our Art Show, and an Open House.
More details will be sent home soon about this special week and we hope you plan on joining us in this celebration.
