PBA Excitement has hit HSE!
PBA stands for Positive Behavior Awards. Students earn points by exhibiting the following five character traits:
Helpfulness, Honesty, Kindness, Respect, and Responsibility
When a staff member sees a student making a special effort to exhibit one of the five traits, they will be issued a PBA point in Skyward. Each PBA point is worth 10 Harmony Bucks. These Harmony Bucks can be used to purchase items from our Awards Store on the final Wednesday of each month.
Awards will start at 50 Harmony Bucks for items such as candy, chips, and special pencils. Or, students can save their Harmony Bucks all the way to 3,000 Bucks for items such as an I-Pad, Apple Watch, bicycle, or a Pro drone. Click here to see the PBA Campus Store.
When a student uses their Bucks, that amount will be deducted from their account and automatically recorded on Skyward.
As a family, start encouraging students to show Helpfulness, Honesty, Kindness, Respect, Responsibility at school - and they will begin collecting PBA points to earn some great awards.

Estimados padres / tutores;
If you are able to prepare a hot or cold Hispanic dish or if you are able to donate a sample of any Hispanic dish for this event, please complete and return the FORM. As the Spanish department, we really appreciate your donation and your time for this school event. We will be at the cafeteria that day serving samples of the donated food dishes to our parents, teachers, and students in our HSE family. Also, please include a small sign identifying the dish and the country of origin (e.g. pupusas, El Salvador. Arepas, Venezuela-Colombia) that can be placed on the serving table with your dish.
Please note that as there are several students with severe allergies to peanuts, tree nuts and seafood, we ask that you do not send dishes containing those ingredients
Thank you for your support!
HSE International Festival !!!
The AMAZING annual HSE International Festival will be held on Saturday, November 16 from 11:00 a.m. - 2 p.m. This is an inspirational event that showcases the tapestry of cultures that make up our HSE family. There will be country booths where you can eat your way around the world, cultural performances from students and staff, carnival games, vendor booths, and a silent auction of baskets prepared by each homeroom. Here are some of the ways you can participate: Silent Auction Baskets Silent Auction baskets are prepared by each homeroom as a fundraiser for that particular teacher. The Homeroom parent will contact you with details about items they would like added to the basket. Donations are the best way to raise money consider asking businesses you frequent, friends or family if they can help make your class basket the best! The teacher will definitely appreciate the money it raises for the classroom. Clilck here for the Donation Letter that can be given to businesses Country Booths Each year we ask families to sponsor a country booth to highlight the myriad of cultures that make up HSE. Country Booths will be set up in the cafeteria, and those attending the festival will walk "around the world" as they visit each booth, sample food/drinks, and learn about each country. If you would like to sponsor a booth, please fill out the attached Booth Application. Please drop off your form in the PTO box in the school lobby. Click here for a Booth Application Form Performances Students and staff are also encouraged to present cultural performances. I-Fest goers love settling in for the performance portion of the afternoon. If your student or a group you know would like to perform at I-Fest this year, please submit a Performance Application. Performances can be solo or group performances. Additional information is on the attached form. Please drop off your form in the PTO box in the school lobby. Click here for a Perfomance Form Vendor Booths If you are interested in or know of a friend or family member who might like having a vendor spot at the school to display and sell their various products or items, please share the form with them as well. The vendor spots are limited to one from each company so have them get the forms in as soon as possible. Please drop off your form in the PTO box in the school lobby. Click here for a Vendor Application Form Go to I-Fest The last and easiest way to help with I-Fest is to attend the festival. Come out and visit the vendor booths, and most importantly, bid on our Silent Auction baskets! More details to come on how to purchase tickets. Country booths will only accept tickets to trade for food and drink items. Make sure you get enough tickets for everyone to eat their way around the world. Also, All-You-Can-Play wristbands are available for the Carnival of games. We are so excited about this year's event and hope that everyone can make it to support our wonderful school! If you have any questions about how you can volunteer, email hsepto@gmail.com.
