MECCA
MECCA is an acronym for Mother's Emergency Christian Care Aid, which was organized in the 1970's to provide help for mothers who needed transportation, babysitting or help during serious illness or emergency. It was a dream that no one should go hungry or be without food anytime.
Today, help for the needy of our community is still our primary goal. As more and more families were added so did our help to what was given as groceries, fresh produce, packaged foods and eventually meat certificates. This practice continues to this day along with other services such as; partial payment of utilities, limited rent assistance and more. No situation is left unanswered. For this MECCA says THANK YOU to everyone for their financial contributions in the past. Without your generosity the need would be much greater.
