Bobcat Bulletin

Week of December 7th

From the Desk of Mrs. Schmid

Hello Bobcat Families,

We hope your child had a nice transition back to learning this week! We welcomed back Mrs. Lindsey Stepper, our Student Services Coordinator , who has returned from her maternity leave with sweet baby Addison! We thank Ms. Mary Luka who did a wonderful job filling in for her and has transitioned back to her role as a Special Education teacher. We say "see you later" to our student teachers and clinical student this week, Miss Amanda Surrusco (K), Miss Alyse Wojcik (2nd), Miss Meg Daly (speech), and Miss Paige Pacioni (5th). We have loved being a part of their learning and having them on the Bobcat Dream Team! They have been on this journey of the pandemic school year with us since the beginning of the school year and have impressed us greatly with their incredible perseverance and flexible thinking! They will be missed, but we wish them the very best in their professional journey! We know they are off to do great things!

It has been fun to see the students engaging in projects as we leading up to winter break. I have loved seeing the creative ways our teachers are finding to implement best practice strategies into their remote instruction. The students' hard work and perseverance also continues to amaze me! Bobcats rock! Speaking of character traits...we introduced our monthly Bobcat Trait focus connected to IPSD 204's Portrait of a Graduate. This month's focus is adaptability! We appreciate your partnership in spotlighting your child when they are demonstrating this trait at home!

The staff has been very busy preparing materials to go out to our families on Monday, and I see some holiday themed materials in there as well! Fun is definitely on the way for our holiday party on the 18th (thank you, PTA!). We look forward to seeing you at some point on Monday from 1:35-5:00 for the materials pick-up (more information below).

As always, we greatly appreciate ALL you are doing to support your child in his/her learning experience.
