Cozine Climber Updates - January 4
A Note From Cozine:
Welcome back! We hope winter break was good for you and the family. We are excited to have you back for the second semester and a big welcome to our new families just joining us. Now that everyone is in a groove with distance learning, we are ready to maximize our learning this semester!
There are a few days in January with no school, including this Wednesday. Please make sure to mark these on your calendar.
In Kindness,
Ms. Jodi Notch and Mrs. Lisa Dalton
UPDATES
Learning in Small Groups
Please help your child attend their small group Google Meet sessions every time they are scheduled. Try setting an alarm or posting the time on a sticky note or whiteboard for everyone to see. Small group learning allows the teacher to really focus on your child, figure out what they know, give them strategies to help them improve, and encourage them to achieve. This is also a great time for your child to get to know their teacher and fellow classmates even better. Whether the small group time is 10 minutes or 30 minutes, each minute is crucial to their learning.
Our big push this semester is for EVERY STUDENT to regularly attend their scheduled small group sessions. We need your help with this! Please remind your child to attend daily.

Weekly Reminders
Reminder: Stay At Home 2.0
Currently, all CCSD staff are telecommuting. Tentatively, our office staff is scheduled to return to the building on January 19. At that time we will have a student item distribution/pickup.
The pickup times in January will also be a good time for parents to drop off any items you may have for your teachers! Although families normally like to drop off items for our amazing staff in December, due to the current Stay At Home orders, we must postpone a time to do so until January.
Reminder: Health Services
FOR PRE-K, KINDER, and FAMILIES NEW TO COZINE:
Health Services has created an electronic version of the Student Health Information form. Due to COVID-19, the health office will not be sending out paper copies. Please complete this survey if your student is new to the Clark County School District or there have been any health-related changes. If the reported health condition(s) of your student has not changed there is no need to complete the survey at this time. Complete the survey HERE
