overview of holocaust

In the 1945's, the word holocaust has been taken to a new meaning. The many mass murders of about 6 million Europeans Jews by the Nazi regime during the world war 2. Many others than Jews have been killed during the holocaust.

definition/ background information

The largest concentration camp made by the Nazi regime was Auschwitz. Auschwitz had three main camps and all three of them had to do with labor. There was Auschwitz 1 which was the only one that killed people with the showers.

original research questions

How many people have died at Auschwitz?

There were approximately 3 million Jews the were sent to death and many more that weren't Jews. For example 1,095,000 deported were Jews ,Poles were 147,000 ,Roma are 23,000 ,Soviet prisoners of war were 15,000 ,and other nationalities are 25,000 that were deported to Auschwitz.
