Weekly News and Updates for the EXPO School Community
Welcome Back!
Hello EXPO Families!
Welcome back to school! Welcome to 2024! I hope all of you had a restful winter break. I hope you took some time to be with your loved ones and did things you enjoyed with your children and families. A new year can bring; new goals, new opportunities, and sometimes new routines. I want to ensure you that myself as well as the staff at EXPO are ready to welcome back our students for 2024!
(This is a reminder school resumes on Monday January 8th at 7:15AM.)
Have a great rest of your weekend!

We have had an increase in illness in our community. Here are some important reminders regarding influenza-like illness including, but not limited to, Influenza, RSV, and COVID-19:
- Please stay home when sick.
- You may return to work/school when you:
- Are no longer sick or your symptoms have improved
- Have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication
- Are able to perform your work/school duties without difficulty
- Consider wearing a mask when returning to work/school if less than 10 days from when symptoms began or in general to protect your and other’s health.
- Handwashing is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of infection
IS MY CHILD OKAY TO GO TO SCHOOL?
- If your child has a fever of 100°F or more, keep them home for 24 hours after their temperature returns to normal without using fever- reducing medication
- If your child has vomited one or more times, keep them home for 24 hours following the last episode
- If your child has diarrhea, is uncomfortable due to abdominal cramping, and needs to use the bathroom frequently, keep them home for 24 hours following the last episode
