Candy Grams

Winter Candy Gram time is almost here!! We begin selling on December 2! If you are able to donate some of the supplies to make the candy grams it will help the band raise even more money. You can send the items in with your child to class. Items that are needed to make our Winter Candy Grams: Red and White Peppermint Candy Canes (Spangler is the best), Christmas Hershey Kisses (no nuts), 10mm Red Pom-Poms, 10mm Wiggly Eyes, Dark Brown Pipe Cleaners, and Low Temp mini Glue Sticks. We again expect to sell 900+. Volunteers will be needed during the school day to help assemble the Candy Grams.

Grace Packs Food Drive

Each weekend 62 students at Oak Hammock go home knowing that their next meal won’t be until Monday at school. The Grace pack program was created by an Oak Hammock teacher to put an end to child hunger on our campus. The Osprey Band is again supporting the Grace Pack program by having our Third Annual Winter Concert Food Drive. We are collecting donations of Ravioli, Spaghetti, or any of the above pictured items (store brand is acceptable) to help feed hungry students.

The class that meets the goal of 300 cans of Ravioli, Spaghetti and Meatballs, etc. will win either a donut and juice party or a pizza party (depending on the time of day your band class is at). Remember, by participating, you are helping to defeat childhood hunger! If every band member brings in 10 cans of Ravioli/Spaghetti we will be able to provide a whopping 1,850 meals! Imagine how many families we can make an impact on. The final day for collecting will be December 10.

Tip for collecting: This Thanksgiving, tell your family members that you are participating in a food drive at your school. Ask them to please bring a can of ravioli to Thanksgiving Dinner! It’s that easy!

A special thank you goes out to All County Music for donating supplies to get us started.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

The Yankee Candle fundraiser was a huge success! Our Ospreys sold $9,648 worth of items with a profit of $3,859! Great job!! We will be selling Yankee Candles again February 25, 2014.
