Counselor's Corner
I had the privilege of visiting the 2nd grade classrooms this week and presenting a respect guidance lesson. We began the lesson by giving examples of how students respect each other's differences. I then read the story, Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon to the class and we discussed how respect was shown for Molly's unique qualities in the story and how respect was not shown toward Molly because of her unique qualities. The students then completed a task where they were able to list their own special qualities. I enjoyed visiting your child's classroom and look forward to visiting with them again soon.
I also visited the third grade classrooms this week and presented respect lessons. We read the story, Mind Your Manners and discussed how students can show respect to others by using good manners. We discussed the importance of showing respect and how the students can show respect to others. I enjoyed visiting your child's classroom and look forward to visiting again soon.
Sincerely,
Nancy Logue
School Counselor
