Fourth Grade News

The Week of June 12th!

The Week Ahead:

Reading: We will continue reading Letters From Rifka and taking notes independently. Students will meet in their book clubs on Wednesday. This Tuesday, we will meet with our 1st and 2nd grade "reading buddies" to enjoy a story together outside.

Writing: We will work on our "comic strip" style graphic novels while putting our own author's craft to good use!

Social Studies: Students will complete making their Western U.S state slide show presentations to the class.

Math: Students will finish up on their Geometry City projects and begin creating their own house plans, where they will calculate area and perimeter.

Science: Students will select an animal of their choice and complete an animal research project.

Field trip to the Heifer Farm on Friday, June 16th

Please have your child dress appropriately for a farm environment. Sneakers or boots would be preferred. Pack a peanut-free in a disposable bag for that day! If you would like your child to receive a bagged lunch from school on Friday, please send a note in to school and we can order them from the cafeteria in advance. Thank you! We can't wait to spend this special day with the students!
