Parent-Teacher Conferences ~ October 19th 1:30-7;00
If you haven't already, please take a moment to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences. (see link below)
4th Grade will be scheduled separately; watch for an e-mail from teachers. Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. Reichart are unable to be here that evening. They will be contacting parents personally to set those up.
Instructions for signing up:
- Find your student's teacher and the time frame you desire.
- Click the "sign-up" box to the right of the time.
- Click "submit and sign-up" box at the bottom of screen.
- Option: Choose "I'm a SignUpGenius member" then log-in.
- Option: Choose "I do not have a SignUpGenius account." Then, complete the information requested.
- You do not have to set-up a Sign-Up Genius account if you do not wish to do so. If you chose "Send me e-mail confirmation with icalendar", you do not have to set up an account.
- Sign-Up Genius will send a reminder two days before Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Additional Conference Day Activities:
· Scholastic's Book Fair is scheduled from 10/13/17 to 10/19/17. We invite you to shop before or after conferences. Your patronage helps to fund many items for the library such as books and equipment.

· Library Basket Silent Auctions will occur during Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 19th. The basket auctions raise funds for resources and additional books in the library. Each grade is sponsoring a basket and we're excited to share them with you! More information to follow.
· Fundraiser Pick-Up
Pick-up for items ordered through our Home & School Great American Fundraiser will occur on Thursday, October 19th, from 1:30-7:00pm. For your convenience, this date was set to coincide with Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please pick-up your fundraising items in the elementary gym or make arrangements for someone to pick them up for you. Some items are perishable; the school does not have the facilities to store the perishable items for you. Thank you very much for your attention to pick-up.
· Vendor Fair
During Parent/Teacher Conferences, Blair Oaks Middle School's Home & School is hosting a Vendor Fair in the BMS gym.
· FCCLA Life Smarts Chicken Dinner Fundraiser
After your Parent/Teacher Conference, we invite you to participate in FCCLA's Chicken Dinner Fundraiser at the high school. You may take your dinner home or you can eat it at the high school!!
When: Thursday, October 19th
Time: from 4:00 to 7:00 PM
Where: Blair Oaks High School Cafeteria
Cost: $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 10 & under
· Blood Drive
Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter BlairOaks to schedule an appointment. The goal set is at least 48 units. Thank you for your support!

Box Top Blast Off Competition
Keep sending in those Box Tops! We currently have 300 sheets that have been turned in so far towards meeting our goal of 500. Even though we didn't make our goal by today, we are extending the competition for fun. Included below is a direct link to a blank Box Top submission form. Additional forms can also be found on the Blair Oaks Elementary website and outside the school office.

Humble and Kind - Quarterly Service Projects - Mitchell Elementary
We are so incredibly blessed to have such a supportive community. We raised $2000 just in the sell of "Choose Kind" shirts. The order has been submitted and should be ready for delivery the week of October 23rd.
Thank you so much for those that have sent donations in so far. We are so excited to be able to help our adopted school in such a way. It's not to late to help our adopted school if you haven't already. Our goal is to wrap up donations by the end of the month for a November delivery.
