1- Examining transition time for "new employees". As you can imagine, HR receives many requests each year to allow "transition time" to train employees to move into new roles. This year, we have been faced with that question a lot and we want to provide a fair and consistent way to ensure that all employees/schools have the same opportunities while at the same time always being good stewards of district allocations. We would love the opportunity to gather a small group of leaders together and discuss this issue and how HR can be consistent and supportive in our work. On September 20, 2018 there is a secondary principals meeting at WKHS. We will plan on meeting right after that meeting concludes - roughly 12:15- in that same room at WKHS. '
2 - Grade level stipends for elementary and department chair supplements at middle/high-We have heard your feedback in regards to elementary grade level chair stipends and as part of that process will be examining department head and grade level chair stipends across all levels-elementary , middle , and high.

3- Age requirements for various job assignments/positions-We are in the process of trying to gather input so that we can be more consistent with our policies on the age(s) required to hold various positions in our district (ex: Instructional Substitutes must be 21). We don't want to make any decisions without talking through what is happening in our schools and the impact these age requirements are having (good or bad). As part of this examination, we have scheduled a meeting with a small focus group for Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at Central Services in the HR Conference Room. This is also a good time to discuss other processes that impact you and your staff such as background checks,etc.. The meeting begins at 1:00.
