A STAR at Christmas

As part of our Christmas celebrations, each school in our trust performed a Christmas song and we have collated these performances in a video. We have called it ‘A STAR at Christmas’ and you can view it here:

If you are worried about a child during the holidays, we have plenty of advice in the safeguarding section of our website. This has guidance and ideas to support parents, including links to ideas that help keep children safe online. You may also have seen in the news concerning reports relating to sexual harassment experienced by children of all ages, including those in primary schools. In response to this, the Children’s Commissioner has launched a guide for parents and carers on online sexual harassment and how they can support children to stay safe online.

Remote Learning Survey

Thank you to everyone who responded to the survey about remote learning. This has been extremely useful in helping us to understand experiences from a home perspective, and identifying the successes and challenges for parents and children. Whilst it is clear that there is no single answer that suits everybody, should we find ourselves in the position of having to set work in this way in future we will certainly use the findings to make adjustments in our ways of working.

Christmas Jumper Day

Thank you for your support for Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. We made £54 - thank you!

Mrs Cockeram

Sadly, after 8 years working at our school, Mrs Cockeram has resigned from her position and will be leaving us in January. We would all like to wish her well for the future.

Bike Rack

Our bike rack has now been installed and is ready for children to use. If your child would like to cycle or scoot to school they are able to do so from the start of term.

Flag Pole

We are delighted that we have been able to install a flag pole for our Green Flag, and this is now flying proudly on our field.

Thank you!

Staff would like to thank everyone for their gifts, cards and Christmas wishes. We are all really grateful and appreciative. We hope that all our families have a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas, and we are looking forward to seeing you in 2022.

School Lunches

Please see the new Spring 2022 Lunch menu below. When we come back in January we will be on Week 1 of lunches.

Due to deliveries on the the first day back Wednesday 5th January, we will be offering Monday's lunch options. The Cheese & Tomato Pizza; Jacket Potato with cheese, beans or tuna; Egg Mayonnaise Sandwich with the Chocolate Crunch.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are now 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.
