District Coronavirus Update
March 2, 2020
The health and safety of our students, staff and families is paramount in Reynoldsburg City Schools, and we continue to monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 (also known as coronavirus) and follow the guidance provided by local and federal health officials.
While there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ohio at this time, health officials have recommended reviewing and refining emergency operation plans that could be used in the event of an infectious disease outbreak. This includes providing educational continuity in the event of school closures. Reynoldsburg City Schools is working with other local school districts and the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio to proactively review these plans and their coordination with local and state health agencies.
As always, we remain committed to ensuring the safety of students, staff and visitors to all of our schools. We remind everyone to be diligent about the usual preventative measures such as frequent and thorough hand washing and staying home when feeling ill. Thank you for your partnership and support. We will continue to provide updates as more information is available.
Sincerely,
Melvin J. Brown
