2023-24 School Year, Edition 3
Opening Week!
We also want to give a big thank you to you the community. On just the second day of school we were able to have dismissal done before 4pm! Just a reminder that this year the front office will close at 3:15pm and stay closed until 4pm so that staff in the front office can focus on helping all 600 students get home safely. We thank you for your cooperation with this and ask that you try to keep dismissal consistent, and communicate any changes prior to 2pm.

Confidential Health Information
This is a document used in our health room that will support our health team making the best decisions possible for your student in a possible time of need. You will be able to fill this form out in a just a couple minutes at the Block Party and if you have concerns you'll be able to talk in person to Hersha Wastler, our Community School Nurse.
Transportation Request
This is a document you will fill out to let us know how your student is expected to go home each day. Filling out this document before the first day of school will help reduce confusion that normally comes with the first week of school as students are learning procedures around the building.
Meal Application
The safety of your students is always our number one priority, but this form is very important as well. The meal application form is one you fill out to determine whether you qualify for free or reduced meals. Even if you think you wouldn't qualify we ask that you take a few minutes to fill it out just to be sure. This form is the determining factor when it comes to funding in our building. It helps us to hire additional staff, keep class sizes smaller, and provide supports throughout the building in various ways. We will have 20 computers setup to complete this form the night of the Block Party. If you would like to complete it before you may use this link to do so...
After clicking on the link look for the bar on the right that says "Start Meal Application". If you need help with this form or have questions we will have plenty of staff available to help on the 15th.
We hope you have a better understanding of each of these forms and will support us in completing each prior to the first day of school. If you have any questions about any of these forms feel free to contact our Community School Coordinate, Kevin Weis at kevin.weis@fcps.org or calling 240-566-0311.
