CONNECTING WITH FRIENDS

Our Local Leaders hosted "C.I.T.Y. in the Park" playdates all around Chicagoland last month, and we loved to see moms, dads (!), and kids connect with other families in the neighborhood. Due to the strong response, many of the attendees suggested we host more playdates this month. Scroll down to see the new calendar, and join us outside--while the weather is nice--to meet up at the park!

FAMILY FUN BASEBALL NIGHT: WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11TH

Roots Autism Solutions & Therapeutic Academy is sponsoring the Schaumburg Boomers' annual Autism Awareness Night on Wednesday, August 11th, and they have chosen C.I.T.Y. of Support to be the recipient of fundraising efforts on that night! Tickets must be purchased through THIS LINK in order to count towards our total donations. ALL are welcome...please share the link with your friends!!

We would love for C.I.T.Y. of Support to have a great showing that night. Together, we'll enjoy a family-friendly summer night out, watch some baseball, and connect with others in our C.I.T.Y!

C.I.T.Y. IN THE PARK PLAYDATES-AUGUST

Because of the great response last month, our Local Leaders are hosting more park playdates in different areas around the city this August! This is the perfect way to safely gather outdoors and meet other families in your neighborhood who also have children in therapy. Find the one near you or travel to them all!

COMMUNITY INPUT

Parents and Professionals:

We have created a very quick, 10-question, multiple choice survey that we are asking you to complete as a participant in C.I.T.Y. of Support. This is your chance to provide us with community feedback and help shape our programming for the coming years. We want to know what you find the most meaningful and where you would like us to focus our efforts.

**Plus, your participation qualifies you to potentially win

1 of 2 Amazon gift cards ($25 each) in our random drawing**

C.I.T.Y. CLOSE-UPS

Meet Brooklyn! Her mom says:

"I’m so lucky I have Brooklyn in my life. She continues to amaze me every day. She never gets angry when she can’t do something, she just keeps trying until she’s able to get it done. She also has an amazing personality, and such a creative imagination during pretend play, she makes laugh every day! Brooklyn has lots of struggles but I don’t focus on that, she is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. Watching her grow makes me so excited to see what life will have to offer us next. I have no doubt that as long as we are together, we will conquer anything."

Comment on July's C.I.T.Y. Close-Up post in our Facebook Group featuring Brooklyn by Wednesday night, August 18th at 11:59 pm for YOUR chance to win a photography session in August! A winner will be randomly selected and announced on Thursday, August 19th. We love to celebrate successes with you (whatever they may be!).
