We Are VB Schools! Great Dreams Need Great Teachers!!

As we approach Teacher Appreciation Week, we are reminded of the things we discussed at the beginning of the school year. We have all chosen to work in a profession where we interact with children everyday. As a bus driver teacher, you are making sure you are the first smile a student sees as you navigate busy streets to get the student to class on time. As a cafeteria teacher, you make sure the student starts their day of learning with a healthy breakfast. As a custodian teacher, you ensure a safe and clean learning environment mixed with encouragement and lots of HIGH FIVEs! The office teachers help students stay organized as they field numerous calls and questions about our school. And then there are the teachers in the front lines who work tirelessly to ensure the student is succeeding and finding their "genius".

We are all TEACHERS in this building no matter what the job title on our contract says!! So, as we approach the festivities of Teacher Appreciation Week, know that Mr. Lugo and I, our students and families are honoring and celebrating all of you.

Each day we have planned opportunities to celebrate all of you . Please stop by the staff lounge on Monday for a sweet breakfast treat to jumpstart your day (BYOCup). On Tuesday, there will be a luncheon for all in room 14 courtesy of the PTA. Be on the lookout for announcements about special treats on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

And remember...YOU ARE ALL ROCKSTARS!! Have a wonderful Woodchuck week!!

Thinking of You

Lisa Brownson, our thoughts are with you and your family's loss of a beloved aunt.

Rebecca McZorn-Hines, safe travels to you and your family as you travel to New York this week to honor your grandfather. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family.

We send lots of Woodchuck LOVE to Dr. Paulette France, Principal of POV. She reads our newsletters each week, and we want her to know we are thinking of her as she continues to get stronger everyday!!

Heather Winn-- glad to see you off the crutches!!

Tina Barnes and I had a few moments of remembering Pam Livingston on Thursday night as Tina was honored at the City- Wide Volunteer ceremony. Although it was bittersweet, we both know she was with us, too. Please continue to think of Pam's family and look for Tina in the hallways and cafeteria, too. We are so fortunate to have Tina at Woodstock!! ~Mrs. Hedrick

Many of you have asked about Kimberly lately, and we are happy to report that she is halfway through her radiation treatments. Her positive energy and attitude is contagious, and my morning and afternoon conversations with her put life in perspective! She constantly asks me, "How do you all do it?" She sends her appreciation and hugs to you all, too!! ~Mrs. Hedrick
