Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I love saying this to people because it usually evokes a smile. Most of the time when I hear someone say this it makes me think of family, friends, giving and being thankful.

We have a lot to be thankful for at David Barton; great teachers and staff, amazing students, and supportive parents and community. As we begin the second semester, we need to continue to support each other as we educate our students and work to keep everyone safe in the Boonville School District. We strive for our students to have the opportunity to succeed and be prepared for their next steps. It truly takes a community to raise our kids and Boonville is a great place to do this!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns you can contact us at school and we are always willing to visit.

Thanks again,

Brett Frerking, Principal

Each week we will share "Two Nonfictions & A Fiction" about a few of our teachers and staff. We encourage you to play along with your student and see if you can guess which of the three statements are fiction. (The answer key is at the bottom of this newsletter.)

A. My favorite food is Mexican.

B. I can hold my breath for 2 minutes and 47 seconds.

C. I have a fear of heights.

A. I love alone time.

B. I have three sons.

C. I played Junior Babe Ruth baseball until I was 15 years old.

We often have parents/guardians or members of the community ask what our school or teachers need. We have complied classroom wish lists to make this easier.

You can click on the above graphic or visit this link to view the wish lists:
