Dear Parents and Students of GHS,

This week we hosted Veterans Day breakfast for our community's Veterans and their families. Our student council and catering students did an outstanding job conducting the event. I was honored to be a small a part of the event, and I am grateful that our school has a strong history of honoring our Veterans. Thank you to our Veterans and their family!

Next week is our last week before the Thanksgiving break, and I know we are all ready for a little time off to relax and recharge. With the second six weeks ending on Friday, next week is a great time for our students to work with their teachers to create a plan if they are struggling academically to finish this first semester strong and be on a good path forward the second semester. If our students need additional support please reach to administration or our counseling team.

Board of Education Townhall Meeting

Join our Jeffco Public Schools Board of Education (Board) representative, Paula Reed, for a town hall event on Wednesday, November 15, 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Golden High School Library. This 90-minute conversation will provide you with an opportunity to get to know your area’s representative, learn about the Board’s goals and understand their roles in districtwide initiatives.

Tackling Tough Topics with Teens (T4)

All Parents, guardians, teachers, or anyone with youth in their lives are invited to attend Tackling Tough Topics with Teens (T4)”, a FREE interactive workshop offered by Jefferson County Public Health about effectively communicating with teens to help build trust and reduce risks associated with substance use and mental health.
