Eagle Update
March 15, 2020 (Family Edition)
I want to thank our Silk Hope School family for your patience, flexibility, and support during the past week as we work to keep our students, staff, and larger school family safe and healthy. The impact of the Coronavirus across the US, and the implications for our school and community, have altered our daily routines and school events. Despite these changes, all stakeholders have remained positive and supportive.
In response to Governor Cooper’s announcement yesterday, school will be closed for the next two weeks. Parents may come by the school Monday, March 16 between the hours of 8am-4pm if you need to pick up personal items such as student medication, library books, etc. Additional information will be shared regarding at home learning opportunities, laptop deployment, and community food programs once it becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we wait for information from our district leadership.
As a reminder, if you haven’t done so already, please complete the preparedness survey on our school website. This information is extremely helpful in our planning.
I do have some positive news to share with our Eagle family.
