October 18 - White Rock Family Friendly Film Series - Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the WereRabbit. 7:00, White Rock Town Hall
October 23 - Hawk Hangout! Our popular program just for mid-school students returns this school year. Midschool students are welcome at Mesa Public Library on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Come hang out.
October 27 - Halloween Carnival! Join us on Halloweekend in the library.

  • 10:00-12:00 @ Mesa Public Library - crafts, games, and prizes.
  • 11:00-12:00 @ White Rock Branch library - a drop-in craft.
  • Halloween storytime at Mesa Public Library every half hour!
  • Come in costume!


  • Stop by to see the amazing artwork by middle school students on display.
  • Come pick up a bookmark designed by one of our eight 2012 Design-A-Bookmark contest winners.
  • Don't forget our weekly storytime program for children ages 0-5. Storytime is once a week at Mesa Public Library (Thursdays, beginning @ 10:10) and our White Rock Branch (Wednesdays, beginning @ 10:05).
  • Put your dancing shoes on and drop by for one of our four weekly Music & Movement programs geared for 0-5 year olds. (9:30 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays @ MPL, Wednesdays @ WR).
  • Ask youth services librarians about our amazing new eBooks and audiobooks available for check-out. You can read Harry Potter, Twilight, Artemis Fowl, and so much more on your eReader devices - all for free!
  • Our CELEBRATE A GRADE program kicks off with October as KINDERGARTEN MONTH! All kindergartners are invited to come into either library and tell a librarian their grade and teacher and receive a prize. Come visit to see special displays and booklists all about kindergarten. Teachers are welcome to schedule a library field trip or class visit!
