AP Env. Science AB: Week 11 Update
Fall 2020
This Week's Focus: Soil and Food Production
We will finish our study of Geology and Soil and begin Food Production and Pesticides this week. Specifically, we will be focusing on soil management, food production, sustainable agriculture, and GMOs. More information about the content, the location of each handout, and helpful hints for each assignment can be found in the Module 9: Geology, Soil, and Land Management Course Resources and Module 10: Food Production and Pesticides Course Resources.
Did you know that we only have 6 weeks of class left?
We have 5 weeks of learning left in our course. The 6th week will focus on reviewing for the final exam and taking the final exam.
Start thinking NOW about how you're going to review for the final exam! Test Corrections are an EXCELLENT way to review what you missed on past exams AND earn a few extra points on those tests.
If you know you struggled with certain concepts, start reviewing those concepts now. Read the content pages, watch the instructional videos in the course resource newsletters, and go back to past synchronous session recordings covering those topics and start brushing up on them. Do not hesitate to contact me with questions as you're studying. After all, that's what I'm here for!
Keep your notes and study materials once the course is over to help you review for the AP exam in May. I would start studying for the AP exam around Spring Break and continue until the AP exam. If you don't have an AP Exam review book, buy the newest one you can afford and start reading that ASAP.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me:

Important Adjustments to the Soil Lab
Start this lab early as it does require an experiment (purchased supplies: non-sudsing detergent - dishwasher detergent or Calgon) and a lab report
You can find a video and other hints about this lab on this page in the course:
