A special "Back to School" Rocket Report! July 8, 2019
District Fee Collection Times
All fees for all buildings will be collected at Oak Harbor High School during the following times
Tuesday, August 13 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 15 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
No fees will be collected in other buildings prior to the start of the school year. Forms of payment will be: check (made payable to B-C-S Schools), cash, or credit card (VISA, Master Card and/or Discover).
Parents may put money on children’s lunch accounts when their school fees are paid. This money will be deposited into their account and will be available on the first day of school.
Student parking passes for the high school can be purchased for $33. A diagram of the lot will be available to enable students to pick a spot. After August 21st the location will be chosen according to availability. Parking applications are available in the high school main office.
Football reserved seats and athletic season passes can be purchased during fee collection times listed above.
Families are asked to enter the building through the cafeteria doors (east parking lot).

Due to health and safety concerns, there will be no pets allowed on the premises for all B-C-S buildings and grounds.

Voting Information
Q: When and how do I vote?
A: Voting is Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
Voter registration ends July 8, 2019.
Absentee Voting (Early Voting) begins on July 9, 2019, at the Ottawa County Board of Elections office located at 8444 West SR 163 in Oak Harbor (just west of the Ottawa County Fairground).
Voters can show up in person at their office at the following times:
Monday through Friday from July 9 through July 26 from 8--5. From Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2 the Board of Elections is open from 8--7 for early voting. On Saturday, August 3 they are open from 8--4; on Sunday, August 4 they are open from 1--5; and on Monday, August 5 they are open from 8--2.

HS Schedule Changes
The high school guidance department will be available to make schedule changes on the following dates and times
August 6th - Juniors and Seniors 8:30 – 1:30
August 7th - 8th Grade, Freshmen and Sophomores 8:30 – 1:30
No appointment is necessary. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A schedule change should be made if:
• Students do not have a complete 8-period schedule.
• Students who are involved in extracurricular activities and are not scheduled for 5 1/2 to 6 classes per day for eligibility purposes.
• Students who have signed up for CCP classes over the summer and need to change their high school schedule.
• Students have 3 or more study halls on the schedule per semester.
Schedule changes will not be made so that a student can eat lunch or have classes with a best friend, have the teacher of their choice, etc.

Students who are new to the school district and entering high school can meet with the high school guidance counselors on August 8th, 13th & 14th from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. to schedule their classes.

Mandatory 8th Grade Parent Meeting

During this meeting Parents will:
Be given a brief orientation to OHHS.
Hear a presentation on emerging trends in your teen’s digital world that can positively and/or negatively impact them. Presented by retired Captain, Scott Frank.
First Day of School Information
Students will report to homeroom to begin the first day. Homeroom lists will be posted throughout the school for student convenience. Student forms to be signed by parents and/or students will be passed out during this time.
