Clinton Elementary School

The Bear Facts!

June 4, 2021

Dear Clinton Families,

Happy Pride Month! At Clinton, we are dedicated to educating our whole community in cultural competency and bias awareness. We work to establish an environment where students model respect, responsibility, caring, honesty, and citizenship for each other. We are happy to be part of such an inclusive community. We are committed to keeping our school a model of inclusion and a safe space for every student and adult. This weekend features the SOMA Equality March & Rally and the SOMA Youth Pride Picnic. To see the details of all upcoming events, visit: www.somapride.com

In addition, June is Caribbean-American Heritage Month. For 2021, the theme is "Our Shared History, Our Shared Future". We at Clinton recognize our students, families, and staff who identify as Caribbean-American and your contributions to our school and community. Click on the link below for the Presidential Proclamation on National Caribbean-American Heritage Month.

Until we are all together in person again, we remain #Clintonstrong

Fondly, Jennifer Connors, Principal & Zoila Correa, Assistant Principal

A Message from Mrs. Latimer

Hi families! As we finish our this school year strong, I am asking for your help finding and returning library books to school. As I tell the kids, you have done a great job keeping the books safe all year and now it is my turn. I sent emails to families with the titles, but you are welcome to see what books were checked out here https://somsd.follettdestiny.com. You can select Clinton as your school and log in with the student Google account. As always, you can send me an email with any questions.
