  • A Message from the Principal, Mrs. Koch:

    Bobcat families,

This has been an awesome year of new learning and growth. Thank you for your patience and grace as we have all grown together. We are proud of what has been accomplished and look forward to continuing the implementation of technology in the new year. We are proud of the students at South for their commitment to safety and for their maturity with COVID restrictions. While we do not know what the new year will bring we know that #ONESouth will work together to make it a positive experience.

    Have a great May,

    Melanie Koch

We have noticed a lot of students with energy drinks this semester. While the drinks claim to be healthy and full of vitamins to provide you with increased mental and physical performance; the opposite is true. One recent study found that energy drinks have been linked to depression, anxiety, and stress. Another study showed cardiac distress during exercise immediately after consuming an energy drink. The juvenile brain and body is not developed enough to allow for high levels of caffeine intake at one time. Try a multivitamin, increasing your water intake, a regular sleep routine, and getting 30 minutes of exercise daily to improve mental and physical clarity.
