School Pictures for 9-11th Graders!

This Tuesday and Thursday!

Lifetouch photographers will be here Tuesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 27th.

Students in grades 9-11 who attend school will have their pictures taken during 1st period in the Commons.

Remote students in grades 9-11 can come on Tuesday and Thursday between 10:45 am and 11:30 am. Please use the Armadillo Drive entrance (off of McDowell Road). We are asking students to access the back door of the Commons. We will have signs helping to direct you.

The pictures taken on Tuesday and Thursday will be the ones used for the yearbook.

For Seniors

Effective in the 2020-2021 school year, two doses of meningococcal conjugate vaccine are

required for North Carolina students. One dose is required for individuals entering

the seventh grade or by 12 years of age. The second booster dose is required for

individuals entering the 12th grade or by 17 years of age, whichever comes first.

The requirement for the second dose is new this year. Please turn in your shot record to the school office as soon as possible. The deadline is September 3, 2020. If you have questions regarding this new requirement, please feel free to call our school nurse, Monica Hurley, at 336-625-1137.

Lunch Options

Students are able to bring their own lunch, order from Randolph County School System or order from RCC's Armadillo Cafe. If a student orders from RCSS Child Nutrition, the food is prepared at Southmont Elementary and delivered to RECHS. Once a student submits their order to Southmont Elementary, the school cafeteria will prepare the order for that student. Students need to commit to that order, and pick up their food once it is ordered. The online ordering forms are below.

Student Attendance

All high school teachers are taking attendance each day for students who are in person and those who are remote. Students must check in with their teachers and complete the required tasks to be counted present. Even our juniors and seniors who are in all college classes, need to complete Ms. Blackmon's Google form daily to be counted present. There is a time cut-off for each teacher, so students need to be aware of the time and complete the tasks as soon as possible.
