PMP Updates from Vince
This week in PMP world:
- Most of you might already be working with, or know about CBS Interactive (CNET, Chow.com, CBSSports.com…). You now also have access to CBS Local via ADX, which represents all of CBS’ local radio and TV stations. This includes local sports coverage, audio streaming on the radio sites (via Triton), Eventful.com among other things.
- MapMyFitness (as well as MapMyHike, MapMyRide, MapMyRun and MapMyWalk) – inventory from this publisher, both Desktop and Mobile In-App is now available through Rubicon. This can be of interest for any advertiser looking to connect with consumers focused on their health or interested in fitness. While the publisher isn’t currently offering separate access to their data (maybe later), they can work with you to package specific audience segments into specific PMP deals.
- A lot of you are dealing with requests regarding viewability. To ‘address’ this in pro-active way, some teams have started asking publishers to funnel only their most viewable formats/placements into specific PMPs. While this in no way guarantees a certain viewability level, it could help minimize low viewability scores for some of your PMPs. As we test some of those PMPs, we will report back with any interesting learnings.
