Staying Connected

Take Some Deep Breaths

Much is changing for everyone this week now that we have to transition to remote learning. With this change there is certainly heightened anxiety for everyone. Teachers will be transitioning to a full day of remote teaching and many parents will be picking up devices for their children and learning how to navigate Office 365 and Zoom while also having to work. During this time, being flexible is the key. We all need to be patient with each other. The teachers have sent home plans/schedules for families and will work with you as we all adjust and do the best we can.

Wednesday, November 11, schools are closed in observance of Veterans Day

Student Office 365 Accounts

Students in K-4 have had their passwords created for them and they have been provided by the classroom teachers. When students are using their Office 365 accounts they are asked to answer security questions, as this is a global setting in Microsoft. Parents and students can create answers to stop being prompted to do so, but should not reset their password. Questions students are usually able to remember are:

  1. What is your favorite food (usually pizza)
  2. First pet’s name
  3. First school's name

Teachers and office staff have copies of these passwords so please reach out if you forget. If the password is reset, we will no longer know what it is and will be unable to quickly help students and families.

Every Student Eats Free

School lunch and breakfast service will continue during remote learning. Meals are FREE for all students, regardless of need, and will be available daily for curbside pick-up at each school and the Granville Town Hall.

Please pre-order using the SchoolCafe ordering system to enable accurate preparation and distribution of meals. Any unclaimed meals must be discarded.

All meals ordered must designate a “zone” or pick-up location. Visit the School Nutrition page on the District website for information about the SchoolCafe ordering system, pickup times and locations.
